APS Property - APS are a Hull based company, who have branched out into many sectors but primarily focus on property and accommodation. They have sites in Hull and Lincoln.
Setting standards that can only be achieved by being a family run and owned plc, APS are recognised nationally as leaders in the field of specialist housing and accommodation providers. One of their sectors is to provide accommodation to students attending Hull University.
Gale Consulting have been working closely with APS recently in providing IT solutions for their organisation. We primarily carried out a survey of their sites and identified areas needing improvement and change. This has led to the installation of a new network, sourcing and installing hardware and software, training, network maintenance and data back-ups. We have been on hand to provide support both on-site and over the telephone.
One other main priority for APS was to move their operation at one of their Hull sites and merge into another, also in Hull. We were able to assist in many ways and project manage the transition which has meant the least disruption for APS staff.
Work has been carried out at all APS locations. We are now in an on-going relationship with them which we believe is benefiting both companies. We are looking forward to continuing our input into their organisation and providing further training, maintenance and support.

Philips le Mans - In the competitive world of mobile phone technology, Philips is a world leader. Consumers require a more feature rich product whilst expecting a smaller, easy to use phone that works in most geographical areas of the world. The software engineering division in Philips are a dedicated group of people. They are continually looking at ways of working more effectively and use the Software Engineering Institutes Capability Maturity Model as their framework. Lynne Gale was invited to audit Level Two processes and is looking forward to returning to le Mans to see progress on attaining Level Three.

Business Link North Derbyshire - Full-scale technological projects need careful implementation. When the Business Link opened for trade, they were not satisfied with the performance of their newly installed client management system. Gale Consulting provided a program of structured implementation and change that ensured all mechanisms were in place so that their heavy investment in technology started to work effectively. This involved bringing disparate members of staff together to clearly define workflow across the organisation thus ensuring that the technology supported the key business processes. Thereafter, staff were trained in the specific parts of the system relevant to their particular job function. As a complimentary project, Lynne Gale worked with the Senior Management Team to develop their most recent IT Strategy.

East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - Like many organisations, the NHS took Year 2000 potential IT problems very seriously. Gale Consulting project managed the Year 2000 project at East Yorkshire Hospitals Trust. This involved looking at the complexities of testing medical devices as well as the myriad of computer systems used by the dozens of departments. Gale Consulting have worked with the hospital well into Year 2000 to ensure that the project was brought to a satisfactory completion.
